So I have been monitoring the box that I installed a 4 port GB card into one of the servers and bonded the interface.  I have noticed that as network traffic picks up that I am starting to have access issue with the server.  The server seems to be losing it’s ipsec link to the Defense Center and dropping out for hours at  a time.  Looking at the ports it looks like I am getting full utilization of the ports, but the server is now having problems getting the data over the DC. At this point it looks like I am going to need to put a new server in place to help offload the traffic.  At least it is a good idea of what these piecemeal boxes are able to handle.  Right now it is taking 1GB/Full Duplex links from 4 of my server farm switches and the server is pretty much getting pounded.  Hopefully one of the other projects I am working on will fall though and free up the needed equipment.
